    Pros

    Decent salary. Great hours.Great benefits.

    Cons

Adminstartion' s total disregard of labor contracts. Unfair reduction of salaries under the guise of saving money yet adminstrators received raises & fringe benefits like county cars. Not enough staff to adequately serve the constituents. Nepotism is rampant.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. Remove your do as I say not as I do attitudes. When you hire your relatives and political contributors make sure they are smart and are not lazy. If you're going create jobs do it for a wide range of applicants not just your relatives or political donors

I have been working at Nassau County, New York full-time

    Pros

Great benefits and pension available, flexible work schedule, and union representation is a great benefit. It is also nice to avoid the commute to the city.

    Cons

Went through a 3 year salary freeze from 2011 through 2014, most of the computers and equipment is outdated. Advancement depends on civil service tests.

    Advice to Management

Request for computer upgrades and equipment upgrades. Continue to be supportive of individual staff needs and accepting of staff ideas and suggestions.
