Pros

good training opportunities, great corporate events, depending on which site you work at team members are very helpful and motivating

Cons

Crazy hours, too much compliance which adds to the red tape of the organisation - oh and the technology is so slot

Advice to ManagementAdvice

you earn your bonus but then they make you stick around at NAB for months later - if you leave you dont get your bonus

    I have been working at National Australia Bank

    Pros

    Relaxed environment. Flexible work environment. No pressure role. Lots of offsite activities. The company spends a lot on its employees.

    Cons

    Very political. Bureaucratic, slow and frustrating. You need to have friends to get to places. Management is not transparent. There is no communication between the leadership and staff.

    Pros

    Flrxible work opportunities, good staff benefits, nice culture, national company with room for personal growth, promotion of diversity agenda, customers

    Cons

    Freeze on replacing fte has put strain on the business. Pay rates freeze is hurting staff, STI bonus is too subjective and targets are not properly defined, IT systems need improvement, too many layers of middle managements

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need to look at renumeration at all levels in the bank - group Ecco has had massive increases whilst group 3/4 employees have been frozen for the last 4 years,.
