    Pros

Great mission. Amazing technology that makes a real difference in finding children. Truly important work.

    Cons

Communication from home office to field offices was messy, inconsistent and disconnected from what it was like to work in the field.

Management/leadership has all changed at top levels. Hopefully that means things have improved for field offices.

I worked at National Center for Missing & Exploited Children full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The mission is amazing, some of the people you work with are the best in their field and highly dedicated to the mission.

    Cons

Pay and benefits were also mentioned. The BIGGEST issue WAS upper management (also mentioned in other posts). They allowed HORRIBLE behavior by mnay of the leaders which causes some of the best talent to leave. It made the work environment feel very disfunctional - all the great people left....leaving the ones that accept the disfunctionality. Plenty of unethical behavior from top management....plenty to make the front page of the Washington Post - a good journalist would have a field day uncovering all that the previous upper management did
