I have been working at National CineMedia

Pros

Have freedom to conduct my business. The compensation can be really good. Fun and innovative advertising products to sell. Fun folks to work with

Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement. Next level is Regional Vice President, but the position has to open and the likelihood of that happening sooner than later is very low

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Probably an audit from the top down to help rectify some of the issues i perceive within the company, which include low retention rates from regional clients, automated accounting solutions, faster and optimized internal technology solutions

    Pros

Work from home and at your own pace, training and conferences to help stay in touch with corp, weekly phone conferences

    Cons

If you discover commissions are not being paid, be prepared for uphill battle to finally get compensated and then say goodbye to job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your own policies and enforce them. Examine your RVP ethics. Don't let employees go who just want to be paid.

    I worked at National CineMedia

    Pros

Casual workplace, smart coworkers, annual bonus and cost-of-living adjustments

    Cons

Below average pay, no perks despite being an "entertainment" company, and no loyalty to contract or legacy workers who surpassed job expectations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you can afford to pay bonuses every year, give people a salary raise period.
Your HR staff sucks, they don't know a qualified employee because they're too busy letting their friends and/or nonqualified people in the door.
