Pros

co-workers want to do a good job for their customers

Cons

rotating senior management changing focus to justify their positions, sometimes change is not for the better it is just change

    I worked at National General Insurance full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Autonomy within territory. Company Car.

    Cons

    Management was non-existent , unrealistic goals based on territory (bad rating). Privately owned company with no understanding of Agencies. Brand has no strength.

    I have been working at National General Insurance full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great coworkers!
    Good location although paying for parking stinks.
    Direct manager is flexible on scheduling.

    Cons

    Management is a bunch of puppets to ownership.
    No trust to employees that have been doing the job for years.
    No respect for employees.
    Workload is horrible and we keep hearing it is going to get fixed but nothing is ever done.
    We have heard the same thing from management since the new owners and nothing has changed. Another new president that has said the same things we heard from when the last president was new.
    The owners originally talked about company being a family and that he believed in raises and bonuses but nothing has been delivered.
    Horrible claims system.
    Benefits have decreased substancially.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Do what you say and promise. Also stop being so decietful! Come up with an actual plan and stick to it. Less talking and more doing is going to be the way you will get employee respect and loyalty back.
