I have been working at National Geographic as a contractor (more than an year)

Pros

Travel the world, hang out with kids...get all your expenses paid for. Get connections to experts and celebrity scientists and photoraphers through National Geographic...what else do you want?? Pay?? You're a photographer!

Cons

You get paid a "stipend", which is a lump sum at the end of the summer. It's enough to make it worth it, and you spend nothing during the summer.
