    Pros

There are a lot of extremely smart and hardworking people working at NI. High performance teams are a pleasure to work with and are the keystone of the entire organization. The work environment is laid back and no one is expected at their desk by a certain time as long as they get their work done.

    Cons

Salaries are well below average for the Austin tech sector despite claims otherwise by management. Senior management has decision paralysis. The offices are embarisngly ugly.

    Advice to Management

It's no longer 1995. There are plenty of tech companies that offer a great working environment AND competitive salary and benifits.

NI is a great place to work, especially to start a career

    Pros

The people that work here are top notch, high-quality people. There are definitely opportunities here for those starting their career to grow and gain valuable experiences.

    Cons

The culture can tend towards mediocrity at times, especially with those that have been here for a long time and haven't progressed within the ranks of leadership. The company also is losing some of it's lustre as benefits get worse, but salaries stay the same with regards to companies within it's peer group of tech companies in Austin.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of rewarding top performers and also revisit the bonus structure... There's a huge problem with accepting mediocrity, but that's also highly tied to the compensation structure. It also seems as though certain members of senior executive leadership have become less than transparent over the last couple years.
