    Pros

Nice place to start your career
Can form a junior staff bond
    Challenging and meaningful work

    Cons

    Junior staff are undervalued
Huge bonuses go to the directors/senior-level staff
Completely merit based even though COLA is written into every budget narrative
Not a whole lot of upward movement if you don't have your PhD

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward junior staff more than you do. Cost of living should be given EVERY year!

I have been working at National Opinion Research Center full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of contact with faculty. Very generous policies for people who need sick leave or have had children. Felt very appreciated and stimulated.

    Cons

Big division between the downtown and Hyde Park offices, in terms of culture and networks. Feels somewhat divided.
