Cons

Resources are reserved for the bread and butter of the company, analog engineers; outside of the analog departments/support staff, departments have to fight for capital expenditures.

Advice to Senior Management

Focus on what got you to your current revenue stream, ~2,000,000,000 year, analog expertise. Stop wasting your capital resources on failed ideas/devices.
