    I worked at National University of Singapore

    Pros

    Good medical coverage, nice colleagues and highly affordable food / housing for staff. Competent colleagues who are able to provide high quality feedback in improving your work.

    Cons

    Restrictive requirements on journal publications. Should allow all major top tier journals to be accepted into consideration for tenure-ship and promotion. More generous research grant would also be appreciated.

    Pros

    Long annual leave (starting from 18 days);
    Good working and recreational environment (near-free access to sports facilities, library),
    Good and cheap food,
    traffic is convenient with the new opening of Kent Ridge MRT station.

    Cons

    Lower salary comparing to industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Look into housing options for NUS staff and part-time students, make it more flexible. For example, giving part-time students the option to stay on campus so that they can save time on traffic.
