    Pros

Job responsibility is stable. And it is a flexible environment, the time of work is flexible, no quite a lot of meetings, you do have some time to work on what you want to do.

    Cons

There is a pressure for weekly update. Most of the time, research work will tend to fail instead of give you desired results. It is a bit hard to have satisfied results to present every week.
