Former Employee - Research Fellow in Singapore (Singapore)

I worked at National University of Singapore

Pros

Foods are cheap, lots of canteens in the campus.

Cons

Some assistant professors may push you very hard. Because getting tenure in NUS, especially in computing, is very difficult for the faculties in recent years. Some research fellows and phd students are pushed to work 12 hours per day for at least 6 days a week.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please supervise those "demanding" assistant professors to ensure that they show sufficient respect to their research fellows and students. It is their own problems if they cannot get tenure.

    Cons

all depend on your qualification and ranking. Sometimes need to serve Professor who create trouble and demanding and not respective at all

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should give more opportunity to non acad staff and appreciate them on the hardworks. Do not always focus on the acad staff performance.
