Rehire is a positive. You get an employee who has experienced others and decided you are the better game. You also get a more loyal employee because of their experience.

    Pros

    One aspect that I really admire about National Vision was their overall dedication to giving back to others in need. We contributed to several charities in our community and around the world.

    Cons

    The greatest downside, is upper level managements inability to keep up with the moving trends of technology in the workforce. They seem to be stuck in the past. Most training material was 5+yrs out of date. Therefore, they do not have comparable material to evaluate new employees against. They do not show employees how to train new employees.

    Advice to Management

    Some advice to Support Desk management would be, update your training material for new employees. Train someone on the process of training an employee otherwise management should conduct the training themselves. Always continue to learn more about the job your employees are learning. This will prevent you from falling behind and pretending as though you understand the new changes.
