I worked at NaviNet full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Pizza Fridays, casual dress code, friendly coworkers, new senior management seems focused and innovative

Cons

Prior to new management team:
Frequent reorganization of departments as if company is still undecided on its internal structure
Company tends to adopt on-trend management strategies then abandon them before they've had time to work

    Pros

Good benefits, easily accessible from several MBTA lines, lots of good food in the immediate area.

    Cons

Certain managers are clueless (shift-managers and middle management), poor people-management skills, very few coherent directives on what can be improved in the environment. Some folks need to be dropped like a bad habit, others need intellectual and environmental nourishment to survive and thrive. Stifling day-to-day activities, very little actual innovation occurring. Would not recommend the Operations wing of the department to prospective applicants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drop ineffective/combative managers, offer direct rewards and incentives to employees to further their skills, update the platform to be more fault-tolerant to release the project and development personnel to do what they were paid to do (innovate), and stop pretending like the organization isn't hemorrhaging employees and isn't in trouble. It's looking like an outright acquisition is more and more likely as time goes on.
