I have been working at Navistar full-time for more than a year

Pros

Upper management understands the issues we face and they've developed a good plan to move forward. There is a focus on retaining good people.

Cons

Just finished a significant reduction in force. May take a few years to get back on it's feet.

Keep communicating, the honesty is appreciated.

    I have been working at Navistar full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Opportunities to develop and learn. Not a cut throat environment. Well established company that has quality products developed by quality people. New board and top executives appear to have plans to upright the issues plagued by former CEO.

    Cons

    Former CEO! Strategic plans lacking ability to drive throughout organization. Human resources week and uninvolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Define a clear strategy that each department can be fiscally responsbile for achieving. SMART goals are the talk, but measurability must reign throughout and be held personally liable to. Imagine the company more than likely wouldn't be in this position if prior leadership truly defined SMART goals that were corporate wide, measured and action taken to achieve the goals.
