Pros

Navistar's overall compensation is fair. The company holidays tend to be slightly more generous than others.

Cons

The cyclical nature of the industry Navistar competes in means poor job stability and many layoffs. This makes it hard to work for the company as a "lifer."

    Pros

Salary a little higher than average. Bonuses were above average.

    Cons

They offer you more in terms of salary because you will earn it. Benefits were below average. Management had an exhaulted view of themselves, rarely solved problems until customers made serious threats or withheld payment. Follow through and closed loop solutions very rare.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to move into the 21st century. You can't continue to run your company like it was the 1970s.

    Pros

Challenging and interesting job working with a diverse supply base

    Cons

Completely disorganized company with no real direction. Management is hearing answers they want not what is actually going on and people who speak honest answers are often marginalized or insulted for not towing the party line

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start listening to employees and stop sacrificing long term profitability to make short term stock bonuses
