Overall a great company to work for, just need to fix schedule and timekeeping issues.

Pros

Excellent benefits and on the higher end for pay.

Cons

Do not agree with their timekeeping, they pay you only for your scheduled hours, do not compensate you for time worked after your scheduled reporting time ends, no matter how much time is spent working after wards. They will not let you adjust timesheet to reflect correct hours worked. Make promises to arrange for you to come in at a later time on another scheduled day to make up the difference, but they forget or lose track of it. They need to pay employees for all time worked in a day, not just the hours that their work schedule shows for the day.

I have been working at Navy Federal Credit Union full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are great! Probably some of the best out there. You get six in depth weeks of training, so you know everything when you get on the floor full time. Coworkers and management will help you in every way, shape, and form in order for you to be the best you can be. You also get great discounts, and there is always a bunch of giveaways.

    Cons

There is almost zero work/life balance. Their attendance policy is very, very strict, and it's relatively difficult to get time off. It is also a very repetitive job, and can get a little stressful if you get angry calls. It can be difficult to get a promotion, as these positions are reserved for the top performers at the call center. Long story short, you get what you put in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be a little more lenient with time off for employees.

I worked at Navy Federal Credit Union full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

-Great pay compared to local banks
-MSR position was well-rounded and allowed for more responsibilities
    -Easy to transfer locations
-"Sales" goals are reasonable and nothing like what is required at a typical bank

    Cons

It was hard to reach out to upper management when improvement needed to be made or problems arose. Constructive criticism was typically ignored.
