Pros

Nice gift incentives and that's all.

Cons

Very corporate, management is unprofessional and aloof, cronyism.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set your teams up for success, don't nit pick at everyone because you fear someone could replace your position and you feel threatened by talented, young employees.

    Pros

The only good reason to work at Neiman Marcus is if you have plenty of money and simply want the 30% employee discount--otherwise you can't afford to even shop here.

    Cons

The pay is lower than most comparable companies
The benefits are so expensive you can barely afford them
They find every little thing they can to avoid paying the miniscule bonus that they offer.
The work you do is never enough-never good enough
    No appreciation from superiors
    Not easy to get promoted.
They want you to stress yourself out and try to squeeze 12 hours of work into one 8 hour shift.
They don't fill positions when people leave departments and then say they don't have the budget to offer OT but they get mad because the work isn't getting done.
    Favoritism runs rampant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show some appreciation to your subordinates
Make the lower level employees feel like their effort isn't futile
Reccommend better opportunities to employees who deserve it (through proven work ethics and not favoritism)

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great employee discount. Hours for coordinator really good.

    Cons

Need to stay at 37.5 hours per week. No career path and growth at store level.
