    Pros

The pay is excellent especially for people without a college education. The CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Training program is second to none and paid for by the company. 2 Weeks of vacation, 3 personal days, and 2 "Floating Holidays" your first year. The equipment is virtually brand new and top notch. You can take your personal vehicle out to merchandise accounts with a very generous reimbursement. Virtually unlimited free pizza and ice cream. Health insurance is reasonable and coverage is EXCELLENT especially for a non-smoker.

    Cons

The routes are horribly out of balance. At my depot we have people that are at 115% of goal and 32% of goal. Middle management is horribly out of touch and they will tell you that their sophisticated routing and forecasting is infallible. HR is militant and the worst that I have ever encountered in my entire career. They recommend corrective action for everything and never even considered using discretion. They will call you to question you about something they "heard" you said or did. The District Managers are so busy and overwhelmed that it is virtually impossible for them to work with struggling sales reps. It may take them hours or days to return your calls or text messages. Anybody above the DSL's (District Managers) simply don't care and have never even seen a truck let alone driven one. Days are usually 12 to 16 hours. Sales positions are a small weekly base plus commission.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more managers! They are people too! They have families and obligations outside of their company cars and warehouses. 1 Warehouse = 1 DSL! Balance the routes, a globe is not sophisticated mapping.

    Pros

I have a flexible schedule and time to develop myself in areas I have interest. The employee cafeteria is a great value and super convenient. The on-site gym is free and awesome.

    Cons

Company is huge and decisions never get made. HR and recruiting group are absolutely horrible! They are totally unorganized and interviews are full of shallow behavioral questions that go on forever. As with any large organization, promotion is based on politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop paying ridiculous consulting fees for any horrible advice just so you can avoid the pressure of making difficult decisions "on your own" which is why you are paid insane salaries in the first place.
