Local Management was unwilling to evolve. They created an environment of fear and mediocrity.

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time for more than a year

Pros

Good starting wage for the area with decent benefits. Product care and quality is high in priority. Hygiene and cleanliness standards are high.

Cons

Employees are treated as extremely disposable. There is an incredible lack of empathy from local management. Often, new employees can be dragged through an elongated temp to hire process lasting well over twelve months.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start seeing the employees in your area as valuable assets and not replaceable tools.

I worked at Nestlé USA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

As a Nestlé employee you have great coworkers that are fun to be around. The salary is decent for what you're doing.

    Cons

There really isn't a whole lot of room to move up if you you're not a favorite. Kind of a stereotypical work environment of a large company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give some of the lower employees some recognition with a reward system that can result in a promotion that isn't about favorites or directed from management that is too far removed from the environment that you work in

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good Benefits. Training programs are available. Personal Development Planning is helpful. Lots of internal movement opportunities.

    Cons

Corporate feel where you feel like just another number. In order to be a manager, you have to have a high number of direct reports. Not only does this make it difficult to find an opportunity to gain experience as a manager, but it also means that managers are spread thin and unable to manage all their direct reports AND do their own jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your employees and their future.
