Pros

The ability to learn a variety of technologies. There is also the ability transfer to different departments.

Cons

The top management is changing from the original management that created Netapp. The culture might change in the next period.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more careful in choosing the people to layoff. The best paid employees may not neccessarily be the best ones to layoff.

    Pros

If your into challenges and lot's of hard work it's a great place to be. There are perks if you have the time for them.

    Cons

Far too little is done to manage workload. Lots of training is offered within however most of it is rather lack luster.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve training, remove the unnecessary positions which won't really amount to much and bring in some more hardworking talent.

I have been working at NetApp

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for NetApp would be the benefits and location only.

    Cons

Some of the downsides to working at NetApp would be the internal politics, people not being flexible and the hallway gossip. There is no privacy so don't expect confidentiality. There are long hours and very little downtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please listen to your people and not those who misuse their managerial powers.
