Pros

Good culture for most of the company.
Enterprise wide activity in local community.
Good benefits.

Cons

IT culture is lacking leadership and work/life balance.
Opposing views are not welcome.
CEO does not act strategically.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting "yes" people and promote managers who act with good character and integrity.
Allow employees to carry over PTO or pay them out.

    Pros

    Lots of very bright people. Supportive of each others work

    Management talks the talk, but is incapable of actually backing things up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get on the same page
    Decide if utilization is the most important thing and if so, stop pressuring resources to do non-utilization work and then docking them when they do. How critical are the latest 'critical initiatives. Invest in people.

    Pros

    NetApp is a growing company with a good culture and fun work environment.

    Cons

    Technical support is a mill at NetApp. They're always too slow to react to new challenges or to get people trained in the right areas. Always behind on CSAT. Never staffed correctly based on what specialties are needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make support less of a mill -- give people the choice of whether or not to work on a holiday, bring back 4x10 schedule, ensure people get actual opportunities at advancement in support and even to other groups in the company from within support. In my experience this has rarely happened.
