Netflix – “Great place to work so far after a few months.”

It's cute to see a newbie. I remember thinking Netflix was wonderful too. Good luck to you and keep circulating your resume.

One more word of advice, suck up to HR, party with them, whatever it takes. HR at Netflix is not like HR anywhere else in the world (unless you live in a third world country and work for a brutal, self-involved, dictator). This is not a company built by developing and supporting the talent they acquire. HR loves to fire people under the guise of getting rid of the mediocre. (Hint - the mediocre are all working in HR!) If you keep your expectations low in terms of nurturing your career and skills in any real way here, you'll be fine -- for a while. There is a limit as to how long you can be at Netflix - unless you are at the top.
