I worked at Nevada State Bank

Pros

About the only aspect of working for Nevada State Bank that was the least bit appealing is that the people that you directly work with are great.

Cons

Essentially everything about the job sucks. Unless you are in upper management, you get diddly jack for pay, you are not respected, and you are expected to just be able to work whenever.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Although management claims that they are listening to advice and suggestions from the front lines, they are not. They will take what is being said from the front lines and either make it look like their ideas or they will punish you for saying something you shouldn't have.

I have been working at Nevada State Bank

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement (if you stay long enough)
    Good training
    Decent benefit package
    paid schooling for certain degrees

    Cons

    must meet sales goals
hard to use sick days as they only allot 2 days for every 6 months (they don't tell you this - you have to read it in the handbook or get a verbal warning)
at-will termination (no guarantees you'll still have your job - they have fired individuals when the bank has lost $ whether or not that individual truly had control over the situation)
Schedules constantly subject to change - you better be willing to work any hour & day the bank is open.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Share more of the "rules" with employees rather than expecting them to know from reading the hand book front to back. Be willing to be more flexible and understanding with illness and more consistent with schedules.
