Good newspaper to work at.

ProsGood group of people, great place to learn the journalism craft. New Haven is a great town to be a writer.

ConsLow pay, not enough writers, editors who have been there for many many years so few opportunities for promotion.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay people more money and hire more journalists.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Pros: Advancement opportunities, some fabulous co-workers. Cons: Sub-industry pay, long hours, little recognition for efforts, inflated performance expectations with no management support to achieve them. "Little fiefdoms" mentality where different departments stalled… Advice to Senior Management: Invest in your people and listen to them.
