    Pros

If you have one of the many great partners that teaches you and pushes you the sky is the limit, both for job satisfaction, income, and making a difference in people's lives.

    Cons

Your success is really up to you. You need to have great time management skills and it is easy to make some good money then slack off.

Also not ever partner/ manager is a good one, and a manager who does not compliment your style will not help you succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't approach each agent with the same techniques, every person needs to be lead differently, get to know what drives them before pushing them.

I have been working at New York Life full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice offices, friendly admin folks; nice presentation to clients; approachable senior agents

    Cons

revolving door for advisors; training program geared to what makes managers money; push product; don't really follow New York Life training guidelines so may not be typical of all New York Life offices; cranky support people; hyper charged office; very stressful and greedy environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

develop a training program that isn't so obviously geared to your back pockets

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
