Very difficult but somewhat rewarding years spent here. Get ready to grind.

Financial Services Representative (Former Employee)
Waltham, MA

I worked at New York Life full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThis position gives you the possibility of a long term career in financial services. If you are considering this type of career path, NYL is a good way to go. There is a lot of support and the managers are generally very attentive. If you do well in this position it can open doors in the future.

ConsCommission only. It is a GRIND and a half. Very low rate of someone lasting more than a couple years.

Advice to Senior ManagementImplement a system where there is a ramp-up base salary.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
