If you just want a monotony job with no growth

Office Aide (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsPaid Holidays
Paid Vacations
Closed when there are hoildays

ConsNo Growth
NO Promotion unless you have a Masters Degree in Library Science
If you have a Bachelor's you can be a manager at a library, but it's very stressful, and the pay is horrible!

    New York Public Library

Office Aide (Current Employee) New York, NY

I have been working at New York Public Library

Pros: -Great if your a student -Flexible schedule (Depending on your supervisor) -Great… Cons: -LOW PAY!!!! 50k may be the highest and that with a Masters Degree -Lots a drama between co-workers -Does no prepare you… Advice to Senior Management: If you're a student looking for part-time work I would recommend working for the Library. However avoid the Performing Arts branch.… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
