Newell Rubbermaid – “Newell Rubbermaid a great place to work”

Pros

It is a wonderful place to work! I love my job and am made to feel valuable and appreciated. The manager I started under is one of the two great managers I have had in my programming career. I now report to my Director who is currently doing the job of an IT director and manager. I do not know how he is able to do both jobs but he does. He is the best director it has been my pleaser to work for. I have been here a year and it rates as one of the best places I have ever worked. NewellRubbermaid, Inc seams to encourage and keep good managers.

The work itself is interesting and challenging. My manager and director treat everyone that works for them like professionals. The targets set for the team are challenging, but not more than can be reasonably reached. Management is vocal in its recognition and appreciation of every team’s achievements. They delegate responsibility to individual team members instead of just dictating task. This allows you some say in what is to be done.

Cons

They start you with 2 weeks leave no matter how long you have been working in your field.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep treating people like they are important and they will keep giving you 110%. I would cheerfully work 24x7 to help my manager out if he needed me to.
