Former Employee - Senior Engineering Manager in Calexico, CA

I worked at Newell Rubbermaid full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Big corporation, standard benefits and pay rates, making efforts to improve their environmental impact, investing on training is limited but increasing.

    Cons

Short term policies, not a real mid-term or long term strategy, leaving North America for low pay countries. Turnover for managers and above positions really high (average stay is less than two years).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to invest on new products and generally speaking in R&D. The products being offered by the company were leaders but are now well behind the competition.

    Recommends
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
