I worked at Newell Rubbermaid full-time

    Pros

Salary was good so long as you didn't mention the elephant in the room.

    Cons

Equipment and tooling left to rot under leaking roof, Production efficiency on key product line is less than 50% but celebrated ny management when reported at 65%.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest with yourself about the state of operations and stop glassing over things with slick media releases.

I worked at Newell Rubbermaid full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Some good people worked in the office I worked in and the offices I visited.

    Cons

I don't know where to begin. I took a position with Newell from another company and moved for the job and then a few months later was laid off due to restructure, the companies 4th in 2 years. Nearly everyone I worked with across a vast spectrum of positions and levels were also worried about there jobs. The business itself is being run into the ground by the new leadership team. No one I met felt comfortable making decisions without worrying that their job would be on the line. The place is a total mess right now and I wouldn't consider going there until things have settled down at least a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop watering down all your brands for short term gains. It's clear to people inside you are just propping up the stock price so you can move onto bigger and better things.
