Great boss (Wheaton Office), who did not micromanage, and supported employees' choices for career paths

Cons

None really (had to leave due to personal reasons)

Advice to Management

Allow the local offices flexibility to manage their growth

    Pros

    Flexible schedules, nice to work for a company that wants to make the world a better place for the future. The company is financially stable, has decent benefit and bonus plans, and there is a performance review/raise system, though it's a not consistently implemented.

    Cons

    For such a young company, bureaucratic "process" and political maneuvers among tenured upper management has lead to stagnation, and makes for a company that is neither agile or adaptable. There is very little innovation or industry leadership going on here.

    Internal communication from the CEO/BOD down to the lower-level employees is infrequent, unclear, and inconsistent. If you ask someone below VP-level at random about the company vision, they won't be able to tell you.

    Cultural/ethnic diversity at the company is fairly poor, and of the 15 members of the board and upper management (VP & above,) there is only one woman.

    Advice to Management

    There needs to be firm and consistent management of the units of the company, with clearly laid out roles and responsibilities. There are too many people who feel that they should have control over decisions that are made outside of their department or business unit.

    Pros

    Smart, hardworking co-workers and a drama-free environment. Flexible hours as long as you complete your work.

    Cons

    Increasing bureaucracy, poor comparative compensation within the industry, and a faceless corporate culture. Projects are rarely exciting.

    Advice to Management

    Increase salaries to be on par with industry standards or the retention of good talented employees will continue to be a problem.
