I have been working at Next Day Blinds full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Company consistently provided 15 - 25 quality leads per week with the option for additional leads during the holiday season. Products, delivery and installation service was excellent and the company's spotless reputation proceeds itself.

Cons

A private family run company so, what the owner wants you have to do it. That being said, compared to other family run companies, owner is reasonable and management is excellent.

    Pros

    You work alone or with one other person most of the time and are your own boss as long as you don't do something completely stupid. You can always call other stores for advice or tips. Good income for very little labor. You don't have to merchandise or stock the store.

    Cons

    Income is not as much as they promise you though it is not a lot less. It is sales so it all depends who come in the store and how good you are at sales. There are many hours with nothing going on so find a way to amuse yourself with out internet access. How your income works is VERY complicated and is almost impossible to truly figure out though I never though I was cheated but really no way to know for sure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More training about the customer experience in the beginning would be helpful ie what do they experience once they order and leave the store. A ride along of some type would have provided some great info. Get rid of the Corp. Training day!!!
