I worked at Nissan North America full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Car Allowance to drive new Nissan's every year.
Decent bonus plan.
New building in Franklin, TN
Leaf Car is something to be proud to be a part of

Cons

Too many hours for salary/compensation
Unwilling to staff appropriately to get the work done (Burns out key resources)
Promotions within the company are Who you know, not What you know
They do NOT invest in IT
Systems are 15+ years old in some cases
Operates like a company from the 50's - very Bureaucratic
Vehicle Market place is volitale and when it shifts, the company focuses on COST CUTTING only

Advice to ManagementAdvice

invest at least 1.5% of Sales into IT
Beef up Talent Management to ensure qualified employee's are promoted
HIre enough people to get the job done

    Cross-cultural and cross-functional environment. Values diversity and promotes community involvement.

    Cons

    Functions and organizations all the way from Japan to its subsidiaries in the Americas lack integration and functional alignment making the company extremely bureaucratic

    Functional alignment is imperative
