I have been working at Nokia Networks full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Good people, decent work/life balance

Cons

Company Policy is to suck up and screw down. Customers and suppliers are courted and helped wherever possible while employees are kept as low as possible, no raises, not even to cover inflation, a bonus policy that hardly ever pays what was promised and when separating from employees the full letter of the law is enforced with no consideration to tenure and achievements

I worked at Nokia Networks full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Bringing together the combined development teams and markets from Motorola, Nokia and Siemens should have built a stronger joint venture than the individual smaller groups.

    Cons

Since the joint venture was unable to make the transition to being a sustainable, profitable company, the reaction to lay off 17,000 seemed to be a panic reaction to right size.

I worked at Nokia Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Multicultural working environment. You work with people from different countries, like Germany, Finland, Poland etc, and if you are interested, you get chances to know these foreigners, learn their background, and their cultures

    Cons

Working environment is bad. Most R&D engineers do not have their cubicle. they sit in working benches side by side, face-to-face in labs, with equipments running around them, like people working in assemble lines in factories.
