    I worked at Nokia full-time

    Pros

Posters all over the Rancho Benardo building about Empathy for one another and doing the right thing, walking to a co-worker to see them in person rather than emailing them - how it can be beneficial. . .

    Cons

Nokia seemed pre occupied with clawing their way back, hoping the Microsoft partnership will be their ticket back to a lead role in the ever-changing telecom market place. Well it doesn't mean to not pay attention still to the humans.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Practice what you preach!
Human Resources and especially Recruiting with your fancy name of Talent Acquisition - get your act together. I imagine if the head of HR wasn't in the Bay area, it would be easier.

I worked at Nokia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nokia treats you very well. The company solicits and examines your input for improving the work environment. Nokia builds solid products that add value to the industry. I would work for them again without a second thought.

    Cons

My particular position required about 75% travel. I was away from home quite a lot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing. When a company treats employees in the manner Nokia treats theirs, it creates a loyalty that cannot be broken down. Thanks for a great 7 years.
