I have been working at Nokia full-time (less than a year)

Pros

The engineering opportunities are difficult to match in the Chicago market. The benefits are outstanding and the general work atmosphere is very relaxed.

Cons

The company as a whole is still trying to turn around and make a consistent profit. The Location and Commerce, based in Chicago, is a consistent strong performer.

    I worked at Nokia

    Pros

Globally known company, opportunity to work with people all over the world, environmentally progressive, great benefits, flexible hours and good work/life balance. You never have to pay your own phone bill. :) Also you get to try out the latest Nokia phones before they hit the market.

    Cons

The company is so large that sometimes it's hard to have much of an impact. There are re-orgs and chnages in management structure almost every year. Management is often very slow at making decisions, which can be frustrating and sometimes prevents moving forward with projects. Also some projects never see the light of day.
