I have been working at Nokia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Bright engineers.
Multi-national company with lots of cultural diversity.
    Benefits are very good.
    Very nice severance package.

    Cons

Too many mid-level managers taking advantage of the company--unnecessary travel and then crazy spending on meals, limos, etc.
    Reliance on external contractors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has made some difficult decisions regarding the future of the company. Stick to your guns and continue to cut the fat.

I have been working at Nokia as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Your coworkers are incredibly talented people with diverse backgrounds from all over the world. You get to work in a beautiful office with many perks. The opportunity to make big differences changing the company's direction and outlook is there, and is very exciting.

    Cons

The layoffs during the time I was there created a nervous, dampened atmosphere. The "Goodbye after X years" emails got very depressing after the first dozen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow up a little closer with interns -- give them a list of things to handle, instead of one at a time with dead time between.

    Recommends
    No opinion of CEO
