I worked at Nokia as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Good environment, office is ok, self service for everything you need, very organized, people are friendly and atmosphere ok although could be improved.

    Cons

Complex matrix organization, unclear responsibilities, lots of overlap. In Finland employees leave super early so it 's clear why the company is loosing market share, management is weak. Too much consensus and everything needs to be approved by SVP level. Slow and bureaucratic.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Nokia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nice colleagues and good environment to learn things as company allows you to go on courses and when you feel stagnant in your role, company allows for internal transfer. (subjected to immediate superior's approval.)
Able to communicate to higher management if you have the guts to do it and they are very open to communicating as well.
    Able to work from home.

    Cons

Understand from other colleagues from different departments that they were not allowed to take on courses or transfer therefore your immediate superior is of key importance in your job prospects n how your life in Nokia will be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is important to stay as a challenger mindset, therefore it is important that the higher management to go to the ground to understand the facts instead of just listening to higher management's point of view as they might not be aware of all that is happening in the field,

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
