    Former Employee - Data Anlystics Consultant in Itasca, IL

    I worked at Nokia as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

    Start-up Culture in the team - there are chances to take lots of responsibilities and challenges if you want;
    Team work, share knowledge and experience among the team members;
    Flexible working hours, you can work from home;

    Cons

    There were a lot of overtime - not bad to hourly rate consultants but may be too much to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try to bring more knowledge and skill diversities into the team.

    Former Employee - Director in White Plains, NY

    I worked at Nokia full-time

    Pros

    - Great salary / benefits esp holiday/vacation
    - "Very Human" company, really cares about employees, particularly those in RIF situations
    - Employees empowered / autonomous in their respective areas

    Cons

    - Too lenient and at times ambivalent toward poor performance at all levels
    - Employee programs almost too generous, particularly in tough times
    - Classic hubris among management / employees in 2007+ timeframe as the previous market leader, until too late

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep tightening in all areas, stay the course with current "least bad" smartphone strategy. More top-down execution / prioritization directives.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Approves of CEO
