I have been working at Nokia full-time (more than a year)

Pros

A great place to work! Really enjoy. You will learn a lot here. Nokia is really investing on employees. Flexible working hours, respect people, great company culture, very lay back culture, not much politics as many other companies, we are working hard but at a manageable pace.

Cons

The stock is way under valued. The company is so big, sometimes that you feel that there are so many areas are not connected well.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Doing business in a holistic way, business units needs to work more collaborative focus business as whole, too much waste each business unit focus on their own small areas.

I worked at Nokia full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great location, in downtown Sunnyvale. Company is trying really hard to retain talent, but not doing it right, i.e., food trucks and beer-bashes, rather than bonuses and RSUs.

    Cons

Don't have control over their own destiny, their dependance on Microsoft is a conflict of interest. Salary wasn't market leader salary. Bonuses were poor. Lack of a stock plan (no RSUs). Poor ESPP. No free lunches.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of the phone business, focus on consumer services, like "Here" and the S40 browser

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Generous vacation package 1 month +.

    Cons

US market was not a priority therefore US based decisions were not considered important.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay closer attention to US consumers bc they lead new global demand.

    Disapproves of CEO
