Wonderful place to work, so long as you are safe from the new pointy-haired managers

Former Employee - Senior QA Engineer in Redwood City, CA

    Pros

With few exceptions coworkers are incredibly great people to work with; fun, smart, kind, helpful.
A very relaxed atmosphere where you can be a real person AND do your job.
Everyone has a chance to contribute.

    Cons

Newer management has no depth. They are incapable of accurately judging employee skill and contribution, rewarding those who play politics but don't actually do work, while punishing those who do good work but don't play politics.
Claims of career advancement not backed up; no promotion opportunities, no career advancement plans or otherwise, just more work.
QA is incredibly understaffed and overworked, with no real plan of attracting and keeping good talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The new vision for the company itself is great, but new technical management is driving talent away while trying to hire buzzword generating MBAs rather than good talent.

Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer in Redwood City, CA

    Pros

Work/Life balance was great. Was able to work from home some days out of the week to avoid commute/traffic as well as be able to run lunch time errands easier. Gained breadth of knowledge from interacting with several teams.

    Cons

Length of commute was a factor. Previous senior management was too involved in daily operational tasks. Saw better chance of career advancement elsewhere.
