    Pros

Good place to work, relaxed and many employee benefits

    Cons

Poor HR, no software engineering processes, low pay. Software development offices next to the toilet and you can hear every flush.

Almost no meaningful product/software requirements definitions which lead to a moving target which half the bonus is based on. No requirement = management more easily changing verbal requirements at the drop of a hat. I have worked at companies that were great at defining requirement in the Telecommunications and Medical industries as well as companies which do none (like Nordson) in my 25 years of software development. I quit with no other job lined up just to go somewhere that knows what they are developing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If management wants to hire qualified Sr. Software engineers that they can't seem to find, they will have to offer higher salaries and implement software development processes. Implement requirements definition at the start of the project to avoid the moving target syndrome.

Former Employee - Human Resources Intern in Robbinsville, NJ

    Pros

Nordson treats their employees very well. As an HR Intern, I was involved in helping out with benefits and wellness programs, and their offerings for healthcare and pension plans were above average compared to other companies. The pay I received, even as an intern, was very competitive. The atmosphere was friendly and nice, and I had a great time working there.

    Cons

Not many, though the company did seem a little disorganized at times. However, they were going through many organizational changes at the time so that's to be expected. Overall, not many cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep treating your employees well
