I worked at Nordstrom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Teamwork (everyone is expected to be collaborative and supportive of their peers) - Company Culture (older company that values loyalty and emphasizes a healthy work-life balance.) - The company's emphasis on customer relations. (its great to work for a company you believe in; especially one that values its customers dearly) -The People (incredibly well qualified, highly professional staff) -

    Cons

-Traditional company (not a lot of room for change. they like the way they do things and keep to that motto) -Pay (if you're an entry-mid level employee their salaries aren't too competitive) -Growth opportunities (because it is such a large and traditional company, they really value loyalty, and it seems that you really have to spend a lot of time at the company before being considered for promotion)

    Advice to Management

Hire more entry level employees so those with experience have a chance to take on higher-level projects.
