Pros

You have the ability to make as much as you want. Everything is commission based, and during seasonal peaks paychecks can be HUGE. Typically managers are flexible and there is tons of room for internal promotion within the company.

Cons

If you do not make your sales goals, you can get fired. There is not really a ton of job security if you are not willing to work for it. During seasonal peaks, expect to work long hours.

Advice to Management

Reach out to employees more. They may not always be willing to discuss their gripes about their manager with you.

    Pros

Possibility of internal promotion What you put into it is what you get out of it Customers can be very loyal

    Cons

Unrealistic training Employee competition leads to very poor employee relationships and attitudes Employee's are clique-y and mean when you are new Managers are no where to be found on the floor because they are either trying on merchendise or sitting in the back rooms at their desks. Pay is very low, especially when you're new Hours really suck and are unstable

    Advice to Management

Better on floor training to deal with the realistic situations that will come about. Encourage friendly employee relationships, working as a team is the real way to give the customer the best service. Team work is not encouraged. There are some shady pace-setters

    Pros

A great company to work for with plenty of room to move forward if you plan on staying with the company for a long time.

    Cons

Because your salary is commission based, the environment can become very competitive and can get aggressive depending on your co-workers.
