Proud to have worked there, but they were not flexible toward a quality of life outside of work.

Assistant Manager (Former Employee)
Columbia, MD

ProsBrand recognition. Everyone loves Nordstrom.

ConsVery competitive atmosphere that tends to lend employees' to gravitate toward cliques that are not welcoming to newcomers.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo not promise things you can't deliver just to get someone hired. For instance, I was promised flexibility to go back to school. Yet come the time to return, my department manager was not willing to give a set schedule for me to make it to class.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
