    Pros

    - having Nordstrom on your resume obviously set yourself apart
    - nice summer job since it's a busy season
    - long break

    Cons

When I first started with Nordstrom, I thought it was a life changing moment. It literally felt like a dream working for one of the best retailers. Until lately, I have lost so much respect for the company of the way how management system runs. I have brought my issues of having a shady co-worker who stole my sale, stole my customers, and worst of all, put all the go-backs behind my name in the back room when it wasn't even mine. Nobody seemed to care and managers don't even step up to put her team together.

I couldn't stand it anymore so I gave my manager my 2 weeks notice and she said "today can be your last day". Then I worked for another 2 days, the assistant manager called HR and asked them to prepare the exit interview and literally forced my out of the door. The assistant manager even said: "I called HR, you don't have to worry, everything is GOLDEN". They have done the same thing to former employees about forcing them out the door. Good thing I knew this would happen so I got other jobs lined up. After this event, I have lost so much respect for Nordstrom. It was a bad working experience!

    Advice to Management

    - respect your sale people since they dedicate so much of their time, energy, and life for the company.
    - grow up & put your team together instead of forcing people out the door
