    No type of job security
Has a bad system of keeping up with sales

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should care more about employees and how some employees depend on this job. Should close store when the store is actually supposed to be closed employees would like to go home.

I have been working at Nordstrom full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

good discount, some nice employees, strong company brand

    Cons

no accountability for actions; decisions are not based on data and facts; lack of leadership training for managers, many of which do not know how to lead teams

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

i don't understand why this company doesn't conduct a company-wide employee survey like most big corporations do. because there are no employee surveys...management is not held accountable for its actions and employees do not have a voice. my advice would be to truly listen to your employees and not just say that you care but actually show that you do through conducting surveys and obtaining feedback.
