I have been working at Nordstrom as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

I have learned so much during the internship. Interns are treated with respect and our opinions are highly valued. I have gotten an opportunity to meet some great people and highly recommend this internship to anyone who like to be a buyer one day.

    Cons

The only negative thing I can say is just about the location. I hate Seattle but love the company!

    Pros

Good employee discount, great people and a low stress environment. Everyone is very good about helping each other out.

    Cons

Limited opportunity for growth, lots of areas are unwilling to train skills for back office roles. This is highly female environment that can get a little passive aggressive at times. The culture also loves to make everyone happy which can mean lots of unnecessary meetings.

    Advice to Management

More career opportunities. Better training for future career advancements.
