I have been working at Nordstrom full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Retail hours, you could spend the whole day volunteering at your child's school, the pay, the employees, the company ethics, the Nordy culture, goal setting

    Cons

Retail hours, commute, some employees found it hard to meet the sales goals, other employees didn't like coming in too early before the store opened

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work!! Teach sales people that every customer can be a Nordstrom customer and they should be treated as such.

I have been working at Nordstrom full-time

    Pros

Fun atmosphere. Every day is different. You meet a lot of new people. Decent amount of promotions steadily available. Can make a lot of money as a sales person if you are willing to put in the effort and time. A lot of the sales people and managers are great.

    Cons

You deal with a lot of competitive sales people and crazy customers. Long days and hours. Work almost every weekend which gets old. Promotions are based mostly on how well you interview rather than numbers. Some managers micro manage.
